Will US Customs confiscate my tomato sauce?

Anybody know?

I've had a last minute request for some Wattie's Tomato sauce for some ex-pat Kiwi friends I'm seeing over there and I'm not sure if I'll be allowed to bring it in.

Oh translation. Tomato Sauce = Ketchup

I don't know of any limitations for bringing in food products. But not sure.

If there are restrictions, wouldn't it be for beef (from the UK) or diary products? I think ketchup is fine. I take pasta and curry sauces in and out of Italy whenever I travel.

I was so going to make a smarmy comment about your tomatosauce...but I shall refrain...

There is a possiblity...they can be kinda strict about it...but seeing as it's bottled? Or is it canned? Seeing as it ins't actual fruits and vegetables...you should be okay...but don't quote me on it...

I don't think there will be probs...Sarabiga took some bottles of beer with her when she came back from Ireland, and in spite of the 9/11 hysteria, they let her keep them on the plane.
